We ask for an email address only. No name, no street address, no date of birth.

What we store

Each choice is one row: your email address, a province if you picked one, a city if you picked one, the language of the page, the time, and the status of the signup. Also a confirmation token, an unsubscribe token, a personal manage token, the end of the trial month, the date you are paid until, and the status of a Mollie payment. If you pick nothing, the row means all of the Netherlands.

Why

Only to send the rental alert and, after the trial month, to handle the payment of five euros per year. We do not sell the address.

Confirming

After signup the row stays pending until you open the link in the confirmation email. Without that confirmation we send no alert. The next email explains that you should keep a personal link. With it you manage your places at /en/manage/… without an account or a password.

Who sends mail and takes payment

Mail goes through Resend, from alert@huurwoningalert.com, once that key is set. The payment of five euros goes through Mollie, with iDEAL. Without those keys we still store the signup, but no email or payment request is sent.

Unsubscribe and deletion

Every email has an unsubscribe link and your personal manage link at the bottom. Unsubscribing deletes your email address and every place. If you lose the manage link, use Lost your link. We email a new link when the address is confirmed, and we do not say whether it was.
